Tokenlon has introduced support for single token cross-chain swaps, starting with ETH, USDT, USDC, WBTC and other major tokens. By integrating the Across protocol, which leverages a decentralized relay network and intent architecture (ERC-7683), Tokenlon offers our users fast and secure cross-chain transactions.
User Guide
- Enter the Tokenlon web app’s Instant Swap page, and connect any wallet
- Example: Swapping ETH from Arbitrum to Optimism. Ensure your wallet is connected to the Arbitrum network. You can switch networks by clicking the network indicator in the top-right corner or by selecting the token you wish to sell, which will bring up the token list. From there, choose ETH on the Arbitrum network.
- Next, select the token you want to buy. Under the "Swap across networks" option, you can directly find ETH with the Optimism logo, or first switch to the Optimism network and then select ETH from the token list.
- Enter the swap amount and get a quote. After confirming the swap amount, click "Review" to view the details. On the preview page, you can see the estimated time required to complete the cross-chain swap.
- Click "Confirm" to authorize the transaction with your wallet, then wait for the transaction to complete. Once this is done, switch to the target network to view your assets.
Important Notes
- The amount of the cross-chain swap may affect the arrival time. Larger amounts may take longer, with completion times ranging from a few seconds to around 5 minutes.
- When using a contract wallet for cross-chain swaps, the address on the target chain may differ from the source chain address. To ensure the security of your assets, you must set a receiving address.
FAQ
How is Tokenlon's cross-chain Instant Swap different from a cross-chain bridge?
Tokenlon's cross-chain instant swap utilizes the Across protocol to enable asset transfers and interoperability between different blockchains. By leveraging relayers and optimistic oracles, it ensures transaction security and finality. Compared to traditional cross-chain bridges, the optimistic verification mechanism allows users to quickly receive assets on the target chain without long confirmation waits.
Which network tokens does Tokenlon's cross-chain Instant Swap support?
The cross-chain instant swap tokens are supported by the Across protocol, which Tokenlon synchronizes with in real-time. Currently, major tokens like ETH, USDT, USDC, and WBTC are supported. Users can select the corresponding network's token assets and check on the Instant swap page whether the token supports cross-chain swaps.
How does Tokenlon charge for cross-chain Instant Swaps?
Tokenlon currently offers cross-chain swaps free of charge, with no fees applied.
Why does ETH sometimes appear as WETH in certain chains during cross-chain Instant Swaps?
For standard (EOA) wallets, when performing a single-token cross-chain swap with ETH, you will typically receive ETH on the target chain. However, since some chains do not natively support ETH (e.g., Polygon's native token is POL), you will receive WETH instead when swapping to such chains.
What happens to my tokens if the transaction fails?
If the transaction fails, your tokens will be returned to your wallet. Please wait patiently for the process to complete.
